Day 4 World Building: Resources

Resources:

The fictional town of Eastwood has a highly filtered water system, cleaner than most places in the country.  Kansas as a whole, however, has a great instance of pesticides and other poisons entering the water stream resulting in some small communities having unreasonably high instances of cancer amongst the population. This is a region of primarily wheat, soybean, corn, and dairy farmers. Other industries, including technology, exist but are not as prevalent. The arts and education are a massive part of the Eastwood’s culture. This has made it a favored bedroom community for more technical positions in other cities.

In terms of magical resources, there is a portal to the north that allows passage between human and demonic realms. Numerous crossroads that served as graveyards create negative fields that feed the inhuman members of the town. The humans’ unease about the economy and the state of the town in light of recent disappearances has created another source of energy. Converging ley lines fuel most of the psychics and magicians in the town as well.
